Funniest jersey / ny people I have ever been around! Kids from all over the state. Met my wife. My dad , mom, kids , one sister and 2 nephews went there. We all go to games together. I love the campus . I like that it's in an area that isn't fake /playtime I think it toughens up the young adults .
Everytime I use google, Underarmour , Sirius ,universal price code, gasoline , fly a plane , stadium TV .

This is my sister's story as well, except that she attended Notre Dame instead. My father said that he could not afford to bring her back from Palo Alto for breaks. Does she regret it? Perhaps a little, but likely not at all. She graduated first in her Biology major, was admitted to Yale Medical School, and now lives in a $6 million house in Chicago's Lincoln Park.

Right back to where I went the first time, Dartmouth. Fell in love with it as a high school student and would go the same route in a heartbeat.

THat sounds really cool! I was a top notch flutist and taught myself cello, piano, clarinet and double bass to an immediate level. I didn't pursue music in college as I thought the only options were music teacher or Boston Pops-like career. I wish I knew the other options when I was 18 instead of learning them at 45.. I hope for better career guidance for my two kids.

I would go to a Big 10 or PAC 10 school. Good academics, spirit and size. Umd made a great move .

I went to Georgetown and I don't think I would go back.

I think I would choose a big state school with a lot of pride and leave me and dh with less debt.

I'd do the joint William & Mary/st Andrews program

Bowdoin in Maine or Williams in massachusetts.

It's medium-sized - not small, but not as big as UVA.

JMU actually has about a 1000 more undergraduates, but UVA has ~7500 grad students compared to ~1100 at JMU.

I'd choose Harvard again, but for a different set of reasons and with different backup plans. Then it was Wharton and Berkeley. Today it would probably U of Chicago. But I went to college thinking I'd end up in law or business and came out an academic. Harvard was a real "kid in a candy store" experience for me.

I would not do my SLAC. Disjointed, liberal liberal arts education. It did get me into a top law school but it was a different era. I would do HYP. On my record then, I could have done it. Today? No way. Probably couldn't even get into my SLAC.

If not HYP, then a great books school so I could have had the great books education. My SLAC education was just a laughable cut-and-paste mess.
