We were underwhelmed by CASA at Sheridan. It is close to home and we heard good things about it from other families, but found that it wasn't great for our son. Was 2014 just an off year?

Great no-frills tennis camp -- just great tennis instruction for all ages and all abilities. http://www.wtef.org/programs/2015-summer-camps/

Kids do drills, play games (fun ones and real scoring games), do tennis-focused fitness and work hard with dedicated coaches.

For Beg/Int, half day is $100 for the week. Full day is $200/wk. For advanced players, $300/wk.

My 10-year-old son did it last summer and does the clinics all year. He's so thrilled how much he's improved.

I'm looking for something for that last full week in August, August 24-28. Preferably with a touch of something academic. Sidwell Summer in Bethesda used to have a KISS camp (Kick into School Session) or something, but no longer. Just to dust off her brain before school starts.
This working mother THANKS YOU for any suggestions!

Not academic but the Y has camp that week.

Sidwell Summer has camps on the DC Campus until 9/4 this summer but the last few weeks are Legos, Handworks, Voyagers - nothing academic.

I sent 3 kids to Renaissance Lego and American Girl Camps and they all love it. This will be their third year and they are excited about going back again, We are looking forward to doing the new Minecraft camp this summer.

PP here. Regarding Barrie, do younger kids like 5 year olds actually get to participate in the kayaking, archery, swimming, pony rides, etc.?

These camps have really turned around from what they were, say 3-5 years ago. My kids have had amazing experiences there. The staff is engaged and there are so many options. I highly recommend.

My son (1st grade) has enjoyed St Pats day camp since he was 3 so it should work for both... they have a very nice program and it includes daily swim lessons.

Thanks to all for the recommendations thus far. Great leads.

Very specific question here, but perhaps it could help others too...

Are there any local camps that have great programs for 3 year olds as well as 7 year olds?
