Amen!!! That dumb logo looks like a hubcap on apparel and accessories. "Hey! Look at me. I spent $750 for a purse and $300 for ballet flats!"![]()
not tacky at all
Ummmm...just because you own them, it doesn't change the fact that those giant logos are really, really tacky.

No kidding. Talk about foolish with your money!
Agreed. Yup, I put my kid in target, tcp and osh kosh. And Payless shoes. I'm not wasting money on clothes and shoes that get trashed!
Only buy hannas when they are on massive sale.

Who is trying to impress someone with lawn mowing service? THat's what people do who dont' have the time/desire to mow their lawns. Good Lord.

--pure breed pet. It's a rescue. I love the breed.
--Private school. Really? You think I'm sending my kids to private school to impress people? That's kinda nuts.
--Mass market luxury cars. We have those, but I like the way they drive. They're not meant to impress. They're very comfortable. Yes, there really is a difference between driving a Honda and driving an Audi.
--Vacation home in St. Barth. It's pretty there, and the kids can practice their French. It's not to impress, and we don't talk about it. Mustique, yikes. Can non royalty even buy there? Anyone can buy on St. Barth. Some prefer OBX, some MV, some Rehoboth. But Mustique??
I have to agree on the other stuff--no big logos, your clothing really shouldn't be a walking billboard for a designer. Labels belong on the inside. But if you like expensive stuff (and you can afford it), more power to you. I don't think everyone does things to impress others.
Oooh, I forgot one. I don't highlight my hair or get mani/pedis to impress, I do it because I look better that way! Nobody wants to see scraggly nails and my gray hair!![]()

OMG - they are the single most ugly bags in the world!
Anonymous wrote:I think it is crazy to spend a lot of money, but I would rather buy decent quality and fewer pairs. I would NEVER buy designer shoes, but something like birkenstocks in the summer, for example, so their feet are comfortable and supported are not cheap. I think it is important to have good shoes. Likewise I think good quality, well made (no labels) clothing is also important. I feel like kids will be miserable and fidgety in class if they are wearing itchy polyester clothes. I am willing to pay a bit more for my kids comfort, but do not do so to impress anyone.....
