It goes to 8th grade. And then of course AAP is a feeder program for TJ. And TJ of course is not known just nationally but internationally.
No one cares if your child was in AAP after 6th grade.
shocked to hear this. TJ very much does care. Look at the stats of who they admit and where they come from.
But not that many want to go to TJ...

They admit students who take advanced math classes. Advanced Math in middle school is not AAP, its admission by test results. Many students at AAP center schools take advanced math, but its not the AAP that's getting them accepted. It's the advanced math.

^ I can tell you for a fact that the private HS that admitted DC told us that DC's 5 years in FCPS's AAP program was a factor in their decision. They knew the kid could handle the academics.
