I have the original, hooks, knee high Doc Martens I bought in London in 1999 and hell yes I still wear them.

You can’t buy the style I have and they are (deep breath, you are young, you are young, you are still young) VINTAGE on eBay.

I wear them with skinny jeans (dark wash, gray), leggings, and whatever on top. I try to mix them with something subdued/classic and don’t do the full “look” with a leather jacket and ripped black jeans and a glitter fedora or anything.

I love to mix them in with a classic wardrobe.

I bought a pair and I’m in my fifties as I’ve always wanted a pair and my husband doesn’t like them, he says they are for young girls not mature older women. I sadly put them away in the very back of my closet with my unused clothing. I thought I could rock them but they do make my feet look a bit large like bozo the clown, not very feminine for my tender age lol.

Agree with you PP, maybe if you work in the arts it's ok, but docs seem out of place even in a business-casual office environment.

Ha! I'm 57 and just bought a new pair of Airwair 8 eye browns. Had 2 black pairs in my punked 20s-30s. Most comfortable boots I'll ever ware. Even better than my RM Williams. Couldn't give a snot what other people think!
