How marketable is a master's in economics? I'd like to get into policy work and this seems like a more useful degree than an MPP.

I would also like to know about this.

I have a JD, but also a Master's in Public Policy, which I love.

This was my undergrad major and considering going back for a Master's. PP, what school did you get your Master's from? Am curious.

Another Masters in Library and Information Science. It did have an impact because I could not work where I work, in a library as an collections development librarian, without it. Sort of like a green card, I guess.

Nope - Master's in International Affairs. Has absolutely no impact at all on my current position in Government Affairs. Total waste of money.

Absolutely worth it.

To this PP, may I ask what type of work you do? I don't have an MA but have contemplated going back for one as I re-enter the work force after being a SAHM for quite a while. Geography fascinates me (and I worked for a time on the editorial side at National Geographic) but I am not sure what employment prospects would be be out there with a degree in geography, especially if I am trying to find something part time.

Yes - M. of Public Health. Would otherwise have hit a salary/position ceiling a long time ago.

M. of Library Sience. Received a full scholarship, I doubt I'd pay for it out of pocket. Not working in the field anymore, and sincerely hope I'll never have to contemplate going back.

MS Applied Intelligence applicable to my field and business/law enforcement as well. Great investment, you cannot beat having training in analytics these days.

7:09 Are you currently a librarian or did the Masters in Public Policy take you in a different direction?
