The woman who posted about how her water broke on the red line and she was wondering if she could still do a work presentation before heading to hospital. Can't really explain why I remember it - maybe because it captured that last moment before all hell breaks loose.

I agree that they weren't all from Holton Mom, but I just figured that Holton moms tended toward the booster-ish. Not that there's anything wrong with that.



I agree, genuine enthusiasm for your school is a great thing. And yet there was something off about many of the boosterish posts, at least to me, and that's why I sometimes wondered if Holton jumped on the bandwagon of hiring a social media company to plug yourself on places like DCUM.

Very fun -- even my DH and kids got into it.

In a way, I actually like Holton Mom -- there's no hidden agenda with her and she's -- justifiably it seems -- proud of her DD. I just wish for her sake she'd get that NCS rejection chip off her shoulder. Living well is the best revenge, Holton Mom.


I do remember Holton Mom with the DD who was rejected by NCS and is now doing great, and I feel happy for her. My own question about those many Holton-boosting posts was different, though. I always wondered how many were from a real person, like Holton Mom, and how many were actually from a for-hire social media company. There was something so generic and pollyannish about many of those Holton posts. I'm sure there's no way to answer this question, though.

Agree. But the unfortunate thing was, her boss was in the stall next to her and this actually interrupted their conversation. The thread was full of people agreeing with you/us, and OP still being worried about it.

She has to be horrible. I really lost my patience with her after she basically convinced her 3 year old daughter she had been sexually molested when, based on her account of the whole thing, there was NOTHING to suggest that happened. Based on what she has written about her kids' behavior she's a drama queen who is raising her kids to be ill behaved drama queens too.
