Maybe Thomas has the baby and will black mail Rick to kill Bates so Thomas can become head butler.

Michonne told Andrea that she knew her first two pets in real life. I do think they are the lover and his friend.

I don't feel any sexual chemistry on this show, between any of them. I didn't even feel it with the Lori/Shane/Rick triangle. Or Andrea and the Gov'r. Or Glenn and Maggie, actually, The Gov'r and Glenn turn me off. Ick.

Plenty of other shows get good sexy chemistry going but this one does not IMHO. I like the adventure of it, the edge-of-your seat of it, the angst.

+1, all feels very forced.

Glenn to me is too nerdy. The Gov was creepy. Carol was, to my sensibilities, not attractive. Shane was a jerk. All turn offs.

Daryl is a turn on but they need to get the right person for some sparks to fly. I hope they choose correctly!

Does anyone else think Daryl and Michonne should hook up?

Ok, so Carl is 14, not 12. But he is still a kid, not an adult. I like the fact that they are addressing his childish impulsivity and anger.

They never showed Carol committing the murders; we heard/saw Rick's version of what he thinks happened.

As for Judith, maybe she is alive. I just don't think she is - in the comics, they are on the road for while after the prisons and despite the fact the show is not following the comics completely, they are following the overarching story line. In the novels, she and Lorie were both shot running from the prison during the final fight with the Governor. It will be every hard keep Judith alive on the road and I think what they showed at the prison was the kindest way for them to deal with it.

I can see a Rick/Michone and or Daryl/Beth relationship. I mean yeah she's only 18 but I mean does that really matter anymore? I could never see Carl and Beth, he just seems like too much of a little kid up until this point.

I'm pretty sure Judith died earlier in the GN, and I don't think people are looking too much into the unbuckled car seat. That is way too much of a clue to just be random.

I liked the Carol/Daryl chemistry but agree I don't think it will come to anything but friendship

Anonymous wrote:^ prison murders? Are you talking about the two sick people Carol killed? They showed Carol doing it when Rick retraced her steps. The girls didn't kill Karen and random guy, Carol did.

Carl is 14

My theory is that the zombies are decomposing/easier to kill, and that the group is better at killing them. Rick had a hard time because he was so weak and injured.

That was Ricks vision of what happened, not necessarily the truth.
So, the rats... Carl? Lizzie?

I think the show is following the borad outlines on the comic books more than people think.

I think Judith is gone. She died at this very point in the comics. I don't think the show was looking as deeply into the unbuckled carseat as viewers are.

Michonne's backstory was also addressed in the comics - the first two "pets" were her boyfriend/husband and another friend. I don't think the child was adressed.

I think the older of those two girls - Lizzie/Mica - was responsible for the death at the prison, as well as the dead rats. In the comics, another child loses it and commits murder and I think the prison murders are a spin off from that. I also think Carol knew what happened and coered for the girl. Carol isn't a killer, she is a protector.

As far as the premiere, I am really begining to like Carl. He is a child - only about 2 years have passed since the initial outbreak so at the most he is 11/12. He does dumb things because despite the fact he has to act like an adult and face very adult thing, he is still a kid.

Also, re: the zombies. The comics address the slow, but apparent decomposition of the zombies and is turning more toward the post-outbreak rebuilding of society. I think we are seeing more of that on the show, as the zombies are clearly decomposing/slower/easier to kill.

I agree that there doesn't seem to be chemistry with anyone. The flirting with Daryl and Carol was the best Walking Dead has managed. Of course the Gov'r was sexy as hell (I know no one else agrees)

the walkers are like squishy dolls that rip apart easily

too much science fiction fantasy. I would like it if they tried to make it more realistic, at least somehow

Also, I hate to criticize, but does it seem to anyone that walker heads are ridiculously easy to bash, slice, etc, even when they were living just a few moments before? When Rick had trouble getting an axe all the way into that walker's head on Sunday it was the first time anyone ever had that much trouble.

dull axe

Exactly thats the same axe he was out there gardening with all those months.

Also he was injured and very weak. He needed carl. Thats what that scene was supposed to show.
