I can see your 'total waste to bash something like this' comment, but I really hate when people throw around the term "bullying" so casually -- it starts to rob that word and term of its real meaning. This is an anonymous board, and people are ripping or satirizing or criticizing the original post -- none of that is "bullying."

Good lord, if every private school in the area starts posting blurbs about their teams' triumphs and victories over lesser schools, this forum would become completely useless. "Well Burke won a debate? I'll raise you a football victory for Field! Take that!!!!" No, please, make it stop.

I know. I'm not saying it was immoral not to redact the names. But given that this is a critical thread -- not of the kids themselves, of course, but of the posting of the original It's Academic "news" -- I still wish the kid names were redacted.
