+1.

And the poster who chose UNC over Duke due to UNC's beauty, I found you hard to believe.

The University of Notre Dame

Yes!! Everytime I walk onto that campus, I get a sense of peace and beauty.

The Grotto -- need I say more? The lakes -- walking around the lake. Ahh. . .

I'd agree with this, but the Chicago campus is modeled after Oxford, which no one's mentioned. The original should be on the list, too.

Yup but sometimes it looks like it could be part of a horror movie when it's dark and stormy.

Cornell has both.

So does Colgate.

We visited Colgate one day and Cornell the next and Colgate is much more attractive. Cornell is kind of grungy. The buildings were just old, not particularly charming. The classroom we toured was a relic - as my DC pointed out his public HS classrooms are nicer. But apparently many Cornell lovers disagree.

We hated it. Maybe the suicide nets distract from the natural beauty.

Wow - "hated" it. Never heard that before. Which college campus(es) do you like? More urban?

The fences were heinous, but the nets are barely noticeable.

+1 And as someone who is a Cornell alum and works in college mental health, the nets were truly a good idea.
