When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a house on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the strongest house in all of Kent Island.

SDAT clearly shows the purchase in 2006, but that the construction of the house was in 2010.

I read that to mean that the land (likely a farm sub-divide) was $2.6M.


Interesting, for a $34.5M price tag the tax assessment (which I know doesn't = market value) is set at just $5.4M.
Seems like a huge bargain for the owners!

The land--- 18.7 waterfront acres -- purchased for 2.7M is assessed at a mere $988k. My Bethesda lot of about 0.27 acre is assessed > $500k.

I know poor people with better taste and decorating ability than these rich people. If they really want to sell the house, they would tone down some of the patterns and allow the house to show itself more. You can't see what it is because you are so distracted by a dining room with curtains that look like they belong on a clown, bold strips on the chairs in a TOTALLY different color scheme, that strange square pattern wall treatment and an uber traditional rug that goes with absolutely nothing in the room (with regards to color and pattern). That dining room has some really nice architectural details and they are absolutely lost in there. Don't even get me started on that family room. I think the interior decorator has taken one too many acid trips in their lifetime.
