They just cut the hours and classes for the child care (academy) again! Got a nasty looking report from the county inspection posted too. They need to bring in a new management team before it goes under. It'll be interesting to see what happens when the pool closes.

It's a beautiful facility, but if they're going to charge like a premium facility they need to run it like one.

The pool at Reston is going well. The rest, not so much. It has fewer classes than any of the other facilities.

Sad thing is, they price it and talk about it like it's the crown jewel. It's a marvelous facility, but it's run by folks that just don't get the concept of a premium club. Few classes, extra charges for everything, etc...

I go to Lietime at Reston as well as Rockville. Rockville offers more classes and the yoga classes are 75 minutes. In both locations the weight area is fairly empty.

Rockville has more women waering Lululemon who dont't break a sweat.

We did not get any notification (just now found out), not a surprise though, they are pretty poor at communication. It's a very poorly managed club in every way. The facility is very nice and it's a really convenient location for me, but I'm outta there when the pool closes....

It's priced like a premium club and run like a hang-out gym.

The child care closes early on weekends and has few classes after lunch. No way worth $40 per kid.

We quit, $250 per month was not worth it. Plus they were always selling personal trainers and heart monitors. Often times they'd cancel group training sessions without and notification. We asked for refunds canceled group sessions but they were never credited to our account. Someone said it's too crowded. That's strange, because when I was there it was always practically empty.

There was no energy and no community.

Yes, I complained about the lack of notification that the kids center was closed and was given the run around. They said they did send out an email, which I never received, and said that it was posted on their facebook page, but I didn't see anything there either.
I also do not think their kids academy is that great. It's been very chaotic in the mornings since the summer camp started and all the employees in there seem totally overwhelmed. I don't feel comfortable leaving my 1 year old there because I get called out of class frequently because she cries and there is no one to "deal" with her as they put it.
I just gave my 30 day notice to quit my membership. It's nice, but I signed up mainly for the child care and it's been a huge disappointment.

I saw the FB notification that the Kids Academy was closed, but they did not mention the reason why. I found out because a person commented on their FB page (which they ignored). I sent an email Thursday night asking when they intended to notify parents about the infestation (so that parents can check for symptoms) and have yet to receive a response. It's really pissing me off, so I filed a complaint with DSS. I do not know if they're required to notify parents, so we'll see if anything comes of it.

I was quoted 180 a couple too. Are there others paying a lower rate?

What's wrong with the swim team program? I was thinking about signing my son up, though my interactions with the Aquatics Head haven't been too impressive.

They don't really have one. It's an adjunct to the Sterling centers. You have to go to practice in Sterling on Monday's, and all the meets are Wed & Sat in Sterling or elsewhere on Louden County.

I don't see LifeTime closing either. Admittedly, they don't have tons and tons of classes, but their kids academy/program is still fantastic and the facility is great.

I think they'll survive the summer due to the pool (though the swim team program is a disaster) There are hardly any classes anymore (adult or kids) and the service sucks. We're paying $200 per month vs. the $100 we were paying at Sport & Health in Worldgate (couple plus 2 kids). It's so much more convenient for us but if we were closer to worldgate we'd go back. The facility is fabulous but the price and poor management makes it hard to stay despite the location.

I think they'll survive the summer with the pool open. $10 says they shut down before Christmas though.

They need to increase the service to justify the crazy prices, or drop the prices to match the lack of services. High cost/low services is not a workable business model.
