PP, can you elaborate on this? I mean no snark, and am genuinely curious about how people authenticate which versions of god are more "right" or "true" to them. Why is the Abrahamic god more authentic to you than say, Hindu, Shinto, Mayan, Ancient Egyptian, or Greek gods?

It's not, or at least not at the rational level. I was trying to say, in perhaps too joky a way, that I am an equal non-believer in all gods. The "G" in God is, for me, part of the name for the god aka Jehovah, Allah, and perhaps Jesus. I say perhaps because I do not claim to understand the 3 in 1 concept.

Jew here. I think evolution is amazing. Truly and completely amazing. Not sure why we want to limit God with the literal story (which appears twice, so I am not sure exactly how creationists rationalize the detail), since evolution suggests a more sophisticated god with a keener eye for beauty.
