Yep. Throwing the testing to the "lions" (my bigger cat). All kids will finally have unbiased access to AAP.

This is probably the same poster who claimed that their child's acceptance letter was hand delivered by a teacher who had been bribed for $250.

Things that drive me nuts: The parent who takes every word of every post literally, no matter how absurd. The reason I keep reading: The parent who has tamed the GoCat. Any chance we can bring these two parents together in a "spit the coffee through the nose" entertaining volley of posts?

This gives me hope that my above average, but clearly not profoundly gifted child got in.

They actually have to reside in Fairfax County BEFORE their child can even apply to AAP. Process for those moving in from out of area is to move into home, register at BASE school, THEN apply to AAP.

So if your friend is not in fcps right now they would not have even been able to apply to the program yet.

Sounds like your friend might not have all the information. Hope they don't have to eat crow for dinner when they move here.


Some reside in Fairfax County but their kids currently go to private school and apply on an earlier timeline.
