It is not healthy for him to grow up in a bubble with no family allowed around bc the nanny doesn't want to deal with it. I grew up with a nanny and my relatives dropped by to p,ay with me all the time and the nanny was sweet and welcoming. I can't imagine if bc of the nanny my grandma had not been welcome over.
A nanny's job is to provide safe, quality care for her charge/es. Not to play hostess to your irritating family.
The occasional visit from Grandma is, of course, wonderful. This post is talking about having Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt and great Aunt Helen over several days per week, every single week. THAT is way, way beyond the scope of a nanny'a responsibility.
