Yes, the poopy kitty litter paws are unavoidable. Cats keep themselves pretty clean, but anytime you have animals, there will be poopy paws and tongues.

Don't cats step in their litter box making their paws dirty with litter dust and excrement particles? And then the cat is putting those dirty paws on the baby's face and crib sheets?

Op, you made my day with these absolutely adorable pictures!! I would be fine with the cat in there. I'm a mom of three and a cat lover.

PS, this kitty is protetive and will mind her just as she would her own kitten.

Wow, this is really awesome. What a special relationship. I honestly don't know what'd I'd do, so have no good advice. But, i'd definitely have a hard time separating these two.

I just caught them like this and I have to say I am a bit less comfortable with this position:

I don't think I would allow it for many of the reasons PP's suggested, not to mention DH would be super-pissed because he hates the cat (he's allergic).

The cat preceded the husband. He's been around for almost 13 years, DH only 10. DH didn't know he was allergic to the cat when he popped the question. Doesn't seem to bother him too much as long as he stays out of our room and he doesn't do litter duty (fun times for him when I was pregnant).
