I am going to have to disagree about the yuck factor. The only critic of the home I can think of is that it should have maybe 2 more windows above the garage fascade. In fact I am rather pleased to see a home that isn't very narrow and deep with balancing windows on each fascade.

The major routes don't lead to Pimmit Hills. They just encircle it. Not so great if you care about air quality.

All major routes lead to PH, no really they do it's a really good central location. It's also sandwiched between 2 metro stops.

There are more reasons why PH is cheaper, it's definitely not because of schools. Arlington schools are not top schools according to scores, however, N.Arlington areas are extremely expensive.

For most kids the schools are functionally the same. The schools in PH have slightly lower scores because people there have a lower SES. If your child has a high SES, they will do well there. If Westgate had the same demographics as the McLean schools, it would likely have equivalent scores. It's an issue of demographics, not quality.

All the schools are fine. The PH poster(s) certainly seems to need more validation than people in the Langley and McLean neighborhoods, though. Guess Redfin and the dozens of other sites with the MLS listings just aren't good enough.
