This is about her child. I just don't think that knowing that you are some bastard whose dad isn't interested in you is a self esteem booster. Can't you just say you don't know?

I agree that many of the comments are excessively harsh. Still, too many people think they can go through life making terrible choices without concern for others. Guess what? They'll be judged for it. Along with wanting our children to live good, honorable lives, that's one reason it's important to teach them the values of decency, kindness, morality, concern for others, etc.

There's no easy way to say that to a child, but telling the truth is the most effective way, it may be painful but you have to go through that situation. Anyway, there's always a consequence in everything we do.

Clearly, if she signed a confidentiality agreement, she was compensated for doing so. If not, she is not at all intelligent.

Not OP, but there is not an issue if he's not on the birth certificate. Carry a birth certificate with the passport. No father listed, no issue. But surely he would happily sign a travel permission slip. The further away the better, right?
