It's called Moon Dough. Hubbie has banned it from the house. It never dries out, but it crumbles and gets on everything and will scratch up her floors. heh heh heh

There is a wooden Melissa and Doug puzzle with musical instruments that goes off every time you turn the lights on or off. There's no off switch but make sure to put batteries in it before you wrap it. I bought it for my own kids. It looks like a thoughtful high end toy that teaches your kids about different instruments, but in fact it is evil.

I'm embarassed to say I've bought the alphabet caterpillar for a friend's kid thinking it was adorable. My son was gifted one a few years later and I don't hate it...

Worst thing we've ever received is -- unfortunately for OP but fortunate for the rest of the world -- no longer sold. It was the LeapFrog folding musical counting trike. Seriously. This "cat piano" is an absolute NIGHTMARE! There's a setting that plays pre-recorded songs that are both annoying and completely off tune. And there's a different setting where if he plays the piano part manually, each note will come out as a "meow." It makes nails on a chalkboard sound lovely in comparison.

Second the Moon Sand. I threw it away after it's first use (right after the kids went to sleep).

With a 2 year-old, something very frustrating where she'll insist "I do it myself!" over and over? No specific suggestions but something frustrating with snaps, buttons, and squeaky bits for good measure?

I dunno who posted this before, but MOONSAND is the worse present ever. I hated the person who gave it to us. They didn't know better, but now we do!

My in laws got my son (when he was about 2) this Thomas the train laptop. He loved it, I hated it. It was so loud I put ducktape over the speaker and you could still here it across the room. It played loud train music constantly, and it didn't give the child near enough time to aswer the question so it made some annoying coment each time they didn't answer. So annoying.

Any old musical instrument set with do. The more percussion, the better.

Or a helmet with a rotating light on top and siren.

Or a megaphone. Just get the megaphone.

Its not bad intentions. She and her family are just having fun one-uping on the gifts kids love but you hate. I love the loud toys, especially several listed on here.
