We don't make this anymore but it was a favorite of the older generation (most of whom aren't around anymore).

It is a spicy dried fruits with raisins and currants. It used to have suet but not anymore. It is delicious. I love mincemeat. I think it suffers from an unfortunate name. It is my favorite pie but I also just buy a jar of mincemeat pie filling and put a warm spoonful of it on high end vanilla ice cream.

I also love mincemeat! My mom makes it from scratch (she found a recipe several years ago - no meat involved )and it is like heaven. Mincemeat crumb bars are my favorite - although I will also confess to just eating the filling with a spoon...

Anything with sweet potatoes/yams. Especially the one with marshmallows.

Cranberry sauce.

Stuffing, blech.

Gravy.

Pecan Pie.

Turkey. (Except for the one I make when I host. I make it spicy and flavorful.)

Jello or anything made with jello.

I pretty much don't like any of it. I do like pumpkin pie, but not all of them.

Pumpkin anything. Blech.
Sweet potato casserole.
Pecan pie.
And of course, my husband's southern family serves plain white rice with everything. Giblet gravy. Urgh.

Where I'm from people still make it with meat, usually venison, for a sweet/savory pie. If you're going to get prepared mincemeat (with no meat) I think the dehydrated kind in the little box is much better than the stuff in a jar.

I despise pecan pie. I cannot think of anything less appetizing.

My MIL's turkey is pretty bad, but that's fine. I just make my own turkey breast with the Cook's Country mayonnaise and spice rub.

You all need to try either a brined or smoked turkey

+1 on the sweet potatoes. The kids love it and ask for it every year. The purpose of the cranberry sauce is to cut the fattiness of the turkey, gravy and heavy carb load. Makes it easier to digest because it breaks it down. Similar to having a pickle with a sandwich.

That awful green bean casserole that everyone seems to make. Yuck.

Pumpkin pie. Sweet potato pie. Green bean casserole. Creamed onions.

But everything else is good! Love turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce (all kinds), baked sweet potatoes. Cherry or apple pie. Not crazy about pecan pie, but I will eat it.
