I'm 16:40 and I too am interested in hearing why 15:31/16:11 chose RM over Einstein given her little finger wagging in 16:11.

But I have to say, IB is not be definition harder than doing 9-10 APs at Whitman or Churchill. There have been other threads on this. For one thing, kids take AP tests starting sophomore year, which is more pressure than tge IB test at the end of senior year when all the college decisions have been made.

But most of all, I'm curious why 15:31 is throwing flames on a thread I hoped had died, that deserves to die!

And while it's not a test in program (open enrollment) it follows the EXACT same protocol as RM does - has to or the school loses accreditation. The self-studies are very difficult and complex. So you better believe the coordinators (MYP - if they have one - and DP) are dotting Is and crossing Ts. And no one can teach an IB course without attending training. The internal assessments are particularly draining, as they are also examined by "outsiders" to check for consistency in scoring. So if there are discrepancies, watch out!

So to all of you avoiding Einstein or Springbrook (which also has IB and MYP) or Watkins Mill (another IB school), what excuse do you have if you value "rigor?"[u] Neither Churchill nor Whitman offer programs that come close in rigor.

I am not someone who has posted about OP's choices. Live and let live, although some of her replies have been obnoxious. As have some of the people responding to her. But this thread has gotten beyond ridiculous.
