I guess I can answer my own question. It's the $$$ - she says outrageous things and people tune in.

It's better than having a convertible where it's warm all year. In a northern climate, you can enjoy your convertible (albeit during a limited season) without getting too much cancer-causing sun.

It was infused by satire because of its creator and narrator, but most of it was culturally factual.
AA here. Yes, it was factual. Just because Chris Rock was the narrator doesn't mean that it was satire.
