15:35 here, so I'm already on record in disagreement with that equation. However, I'd call it an exaggeration rather than an over-generalization. An over-generalization might be something like assuming that one exaggeration implies that the writer has a tendency to over-generalize.
On the other hand, assuming that this writer has a tendency to be a smart-ass is probably justified.

That's unfair. There are certainly racist elements that have gravitated to the GOP, and it is partly due to a conscious strategy by some GOP leaders to cater to them. But I think it is counter-productive to tar all Republicans with such a charge.
