The birther movement is encouraged by the republican establishment to insight violence and lone wolf type of action. The GOP and their supporters are a danger to the US.

Long ago Buckley kicked out the crazies. Now they are back. No one will kick them out now b/c it is the core members of the republicans. This is what they belief. Look at the home grown terrorist we have...the bombing and killing abortion doctor/ suppliers. They are supported directly by the republicans and investigation into the organizations are killed by republicans in office.

I see it now. Look at all the voter subpression lead by the gop...all of it focused on minorities. It is funny when you give off the race vibe, how many come out of the woods to rally to the gop.

Look the GOP rings the dinner bell all the time with race. They get results with it. Explain why you attack the first back president by requiring he produce his paper like a dog. Call him unamerican and say he is not one of us. As long as the GOP goes alog with it, they are part of it. Racist.

Do you represent the intelligent Democrats? I hope not. Your tendency to over-generalize is just amazing.

15:35 here, so I'm already on record in disagreement with that equation. However, I'd call it an exaggeration rather than an over-generalization. An over-generalization might be something like assuming that one exaggeration implies that the writer has a tendency to over-generalize.

On the other hand, assuming that this writer has a tendency to be a smart-ass is probably justified.

17:44 here. I'm listening to you but have to say that I'm not sure I really agree with you. To put an equal sign between GOP and racist seems like an over-generalization to me. I don't always vote for Republicans, but I am a fairly conservative voter. I'm also not even remotely racist in my thinking, comments, or choice of close friends. I'm very tired of extremists from both parties who do so much harm regarding our country's elections, policies, and laws.

That's unfair. There are certainly racist elements that have gravitated to the GOP, and it is partly due to a conscious strategy by some GOP leaders to cater to them. But I think it is counter-productive to tar all Republicans with such a charge. Unfortunately, we have a troll or two here who shower us with garbage and provoke such responses.

If he wasn't so anti American ... He wouldn't seem so Muslim / Kenyan etc.. The dog eating doesn't help either. The evasiveness on the certificate...college grades/thesis ( I bet that's a doosie) , how/who sponsored and paid for his college (considering he admits he was in a daze in high school and had poor grades) so strange no curious journalists? He comes across as hostile to the constitution which at it's core values the individual over the government. Individual's time, dreams, money ( private property) , privacy , is paramount Obama disagrees. A good compromise with the GOP would be make abortion and gay marriage a constitutional right while making only a flat tax constitutional . The GOP and most dems would go for it.

Exactly, they want to keep reinforcing his blackness and paint it as something foreign or "other". Anything that makes him seem like he doesn't belong. Why else would the same people who call him a "devotee of Jeremiah Wright" also call him a Muslim? Those are logically inconsistent thoughts in all ways except one - both attempt to portray that Obama hates America.
