It sounds like bathrobes and bedspreads.

I would assume that the child is African American as well.

Shanelle, yes, sounds like an AA name. Chennile, no.

Maybe add "La" to it? La'chenille.

I am asian and I agree with the African American poster. It doesn't sound like a black name. It sounds like a name that a white girl from one of those tiny meth towns in the desert between LA and Vegas would name her kid. You know, the mom who aspires that her daughter one day becomes a topless showgirl with her name in lights.

Why not? Other geographical names for kids--London, Asia, Brooklyn, Paris, China.

Alexandria, Anacostia, McLean, Wheaton, Annandale, Vienna. I've heard worse.

Head of the class, lady. You were worth the wait.

OP. Don't listen to these haters. No one ever liked the baby names I picked out.
I hope this won't give me away. But my children are named: Angora, Aramid (oddly enough he likes to play with fire), Lamé and Tulle. I am pregnant with twins right now and I was thinking about naming them Poplin and Plush but I don't want to tell anyone. They gave me such a hard time with my little Tulle's name.

This thread made me LOL! Thanks to the PPs.

No offense OP. I'm not normally one to give people a hard time about their choice of names, but I'll have to give the thumbs down on this one for sure.

Outstanding work.

Second the outstanding comment. PP, well done.
