Ugh. I think I'm underpaid. I'm in policy - also a director at a non profit, making $83K with a graduate degree and 14 years of experience. Do get lots of vacation and reasonable flexibility. Why be a wimp? Life is short. No one will value you if YOU don't value you. I started my job 6 years ago and have asked for a raise no less than 4 times since then and have gotten one every single time. Things won't get handed to you, you need to ASK and make a good argument why you deserve to be paid more and then rock your new salary! You can do it!!

Project manager - for a consulting firm (non-technical) 94K -work from home once per week will be increasing that to 2x per week soon. Usually get raises in the 4-5% range - bonuses if you work on and win proposals. I've been in this field for only 7 years and consider this my second act after being stay at home for 4 years.

Banking/Real Estate, $210,000.

Physical therapist with a doctoral degree and 15 years of experience, $72,000. I enjoy my work, but feel very under-compensated. There's no goofing off or surfing the web like so many others here do. It's hard work, all day, every day.

Alright, was resisting, but it's been kinda fun to read. Federal program manager, $95,000, work 8:30-4:30 and no more ever, telework once a week, usually get about $2,000 in bonuses each year. Nine years experience (3 as a Fed). MBA.

Last year - about $25K working part-time. I work at home about half of that and go into offices for the rest. This year I will continue part-time and expect to make $40K. I work about 15-20 hours a week in finance/bookkeeping/admin for several businesses. I do it so I can be around for my kids after school. Summers are more difficult but overall, I'm very happy with my situation. I have a master's degree in an unrelated field though.

project manager (non-government, non-PMP certified, non-technical) for a local company. I make 90k plus a 15% bonus. WOH, work from home 1-2 a month when I ask. work more than 9-5pm about 2-3 times a month.

I'm a teacher too, but in private school. I'm at about $45k with 7 years of experience and 2 masters. I don't have any other benefits, except good health insurance!

$77k as an associate in a small law firm. I have 3 years experience and no idea if that is the going rate or not. I have some flexibility (can leave to take kids to appts), but can't generally work from home. Work late about one night per week and one weekend a month.

Not PP, but I do recommend an ABA program. Georgetown is more expensive than the one at NoVa. Though I don't have experience with either. During my final semester I did a one unit internship in a corporate law office and then was offered a paid position. Otherwise, your admin skills, BA and Paralegal Cert should be able to get you into an entry level Paralegal position (private sector). Salary is lower at entry level, but it has a nice ladder. I make $115K as a government economist, about 13 years experience. I have a Master's degree, but dropped out of a Ph.D. program.

I don't believe there is a lot of inherent value in what I do, but I do go to work everyday and try to do my best. But I believe that most office jobs are overvalued.

96k base, in sales. commissions add another 100-150k annually.
