how was the NNAT? If it was 132 or over, she is already in the pool.

Don't recall receiving any test score on NNAT? was this similar to Cogat where scores are mailed?

To everyone but the troll: Follow the process....In Pool, parental referral, then appeal (if appropriate).

To the troll: if you do not like the process, take it to the school board.

This obsession with getting into AAP is ridiculous. You all are going to give your kids ulcers.

I was told last week that starting this year, a COMPOSITE score of 132 would be needed to be in the pool. This is unlike previous years where score of 130 or higher (or whatever the cutoff was for any given year) in any ONE of the cogAT sections or the NNAT, would place the child in the pool.

Is this from a reliable source? What is a composite score?

Heard a rumor (don't quote me) that 80% of Floris Elem 2nd graders are in the pool. If true, does anyone know if this is per historical trend?

It is possible with high GBRS, but certainly not assured.

Only FCPS 2nd graders can be in the pool. All others have to parent refer.

My dd got 136 on NNAT2 and only 120 composite score on Cogat. Does this mean she qualifies? She goes to a small private school and we gave the test through GMU, so we won't get the letter through FCPS directly about being in the pool.

Those are great scores. With a high GBRS, I suspect she would get in.

She has 134 on 2 subscores and 122 on the 1.
