Me too. He was my boyfriend on and off for years and a really nice guy. It was a nice experience and I don't regret it. We are still in touch vaguely through Facebook and I totally wish him well.

I was 20 and had just transferred here after living in a small southern town all my life. I stupidly slept with a horrible, horrible classmate of mine. He stalked me mercilessly when I tried to cut things off and harassed me until I dropped out and moved home. It was horrible -- I was so scarred from the whole experience that I didn't date again until I was 25. When DH and I moved back to DC last year for his job, I was actually scared for a moment that I'd somehow see my stalker again, but thankfully he gotten bored after 3-4 years of sending me scary emails and phone calls.

Thanks, PP. I'm 41 now, on DCUM (so you can accurately assume I have a child or two or three) and well over my "first time" age situation. But it was sort of an issue at the time. I was a little embarassed to admit it. Felt a little left out of the conversation, so to speak. But I did have a very lovely initiation, and almost 100% completely fantastic subsequent experiences.

Not sure how else it could've gone down (no pun intended) for me, otherwise. I suppose I'd have just had a few wan pseudo-relationships or maybe some bewildering one night stands? Because I know for sure I wasn't ready to fall in love until my mid-to-late twenties.

Don't worry 19:43, 24 is nothing. I have a GF who is 33 and has never been kissed, let alone done "the deed." (She also has several cats and a spare bedroom for her Snoopy collection, which helps explain the situation.) 24 is well within within the normal range.
