Much more difficult to call, yet will continue to swallow ever-more valuable OOB spots. Lotto waitlist barely, if at all, budged there last summer. Did anyone get in Deal off the waitlist this year?

Horace Mann and Key parents should lobby to get in the Deal boundary. Because very few seem to even consider Hardy--at least no one I communicate with--but that a pretty narrow demographic. (HHI and in boundary).
Isn't Deal pretty full? Why would DC allow additional elementary school to become feeder schools for Deal? Doesn't make any sense to me.
Heh. They wouldn't without removing another school. They would have to pull other schools out of the boundary to make the room. They added Shepherd to the Deal in the early 2000's when Paul Jr High was closed (or turned charter, whatever). I don't recall which school they pulled out to do this. Hearst, maybe? Anyone remember?

And waht about the concern that families just 'borrow' an address to get in, and how long will in-boundary families put up with the inflated numbers owing to the cheats?
