My DH vetoed Seamus for our son, but okayed it for our cat. I think there is only one Carmella.
The irony is Seamus would so fit our DS’ personality. Carmella was my grandmothers name and she went by Millie but DH wasn’t a fan. I had a mom hunch we were having a boy anyway so I didn’t push.

I really love Arabella. Are you relived or think DD could have pulled it off?
Can you imagine being named Arabella as an adult. Yuck
Ivanka named her daughter Arabella. That tells you all you need to know.

I vetoed Wilson and Grover.
Thank you for your service. To put this politely, your husband has bad taste. Wilson? Wilson is a last name. GROVER? Was he naming a human being or a golden retriever?! I don't even care that there was a president with this name. It's a full-fledged dog name at this point.
I know! I told him Grover is a dog, a muppet, a portly president, or an anti-tax advocate, and anyone who would slap that name on an innocent baby is insane. I think he was just extremely fond of Sesame Street. Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Soooooo many. My DH vetoed like everything I suggested. Here were names on my short list that he vetoed:
Girls: Josephine, Margaret (nn Maggie), Idalia, Lucia or Lucy, Miranda, Lilah, Cassandra (nn Cass or Sandra), Calliope (nn Callie), Diana -- there were so many others but this is just the ones I remember, I must have suggested 200 girls names and he vetoed all but two of them.
Boys: Milo, Calvin, George, Harrison, Frederick (nn Freddy), Elvin
He suggested almost no names, these are the ones I wound up vetoing of his:
Girls: June
Boys: Melvin, Howard, Gavin
Melvin and Howard! This man should get no say whatsoever.

I vetoed Lyle.
We both liked Theodore nn Theo but met too many little Theos while I was pregnant.
