My daughter, despite a 4.0 (her school does not weight) and high test scores, is going to a school DCUM has deemed as "lesser." We are still proud of her many years of hard work and the education she received. I think it's awful that Instagram accounts weigh on these kids and even weigh into their self-worth.
I think it's crazy that people sit here in judgment of these kids who you say are inadequate and categorize as lesser just because they aren't going to Harvard.

In general the answer is probably schools like Richmond, CMU, NYU, Clemson, just to name a few.
The bottom 25% are not getting into Richmond.

This. From years past, schools like providence college and fairfield U were possible from bottom 25%, as well as schools like Sewanee, American, College of Charleston, Clemson, and some need aware SLAC like conn college, denison, muhlenburg, dickinson, wooster.
Average gpa for Fairfield is 3.9. https://www.fairfield.edu/admission-and-aid/apply/first-year-applicants/admission-profile/
Um…that’s a weighted GPA across the many grade-inflated schools that litter our nation. Unweighted is probably an 3.2 or so, likely right around the 25th percentile at Visi. Only 38% submit scores with 1370 as the mid-point of those who report. That means the middle point of test scores would probably be around 1230-1250 if everyone reported. Again, this is not what one would normally associated with a 20% admission rate.
They’re playing the Northeastern game, but not as well and with less impressive marketing.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Visi has a nearly 100% acceptance rate of their applicants to Fairfield. It’s a strong girls Catholic high school, which Fairfield will prioritize for admission. You have to look at Visi’s college admissions data and not the outward facing public info for Fairfield generally.
I just checked out of curiosity-it's almost 100%. If your GPA is 3.4 or higher the heatmap is 100% acceptance, I only see 2 rejections total in the last 4 years. Some outstanding waitlisted students that I assume will be updated soon with this year's data.
