Well, the indicator that you are offline and have been away for hours/days isn’t a good look.

PP has volunteered their entire life to the employer. An employer that would not bat an eye to fire them tomorrow after 7 years of loyalty. All in the name of re orgs, which are 99% BS used to do mass firings with the idea that there will be less blow back.
Do not give your life to the person that pays you for 40 hours of work.

My dot turns yellow after about five minutes, so I can be deeply focused in writing a report but the Teams dot makes it look like I’m not around. This is super frustrating.

I just go in. I always do. I just sit in the chair or say just say excuse me. In an office closing a door is not a magic get out of work thing and why would an office door be closed and you are using headphones. I have an office and dont have headphones. What would I need them for. Yes folks in cubes have them.
