So you are perfectly okay with dogs are better than Jews. Or you’d take a dog over a Jewish person every time, because that is exactly what Fine said, except he substituted Muslims for Jews. Disgusting on both counts.
Jewish people haven’t tried to ban dogs though. If they did, I’m sure many people would express preference for their dogs.
Muslims in the US have not tried to ban dogs. Don't spread misinformation.
A random tweet from a person who is not in any elected position does not count as trying to ban dogs.

WOW. I’m so glad the young woman in the top video didn’t back down from the nutcase trying to order her around. He clearly is from a country that allows men to tell women what to do - perhaps he should return. What a scumbag.

Dogs ARE unclean and don't belong in grocery stores, food service places etc. I would love it if we could go back to 1995 where it would be positively insane to bring your dog into a store. Have a dog as a pet at your home but the amount of public accommodations we're all supposed to make now for dogs is crazy.
+1
I remember when dogs became a big concern in France — all the dog poop nobody was cleaning up, so an artist went out and started creating “meals” around all the dog poop on the sidewalk, like putting the poop atop a mound of spaghetti. LOL
+1 another former two dog owner, and I used to work at a vet. Dogs are not clean, and cats aren't much cleaner, btw.

In Islam, dogs are considered unclean animals, and they are banned in some places. She is saying that NYC is coming around to the Muslim point of view, due to the excessive amount of dog poop on the street.
Further context for his comment is that in the UK, traditionally a very dog-loving country, there are efforts to ban dogs from public places because there are Muslims who don’t want to be exposed to dogs. This is commonly discussed on X. He is expressing his preference, given the woman’s post implying that NYC is coming around to that point of view.

The irony is Orthodox Jews aren’t fans of dogs either

Why is that important to note? Who thinks there’s a scenario where we should choose, and Fine’s opinion matters on which should be chosen? That’s batshit crazy.
It’s important to note because that’s the content of his tweet. If he’s going to be slammed for it, what he actually said matters. And the context of the tweet he was responding to matters also.
The context of the tweet he was replying to is that dog poop is piling up in NYC. As the snow melts, apparently a lot of frozen dog poop is being exposed because people didn't pick it up. It's gross and people are complaining. Earlier in the week a NYC councilman posted on x "Pick up your f****** dog s***.

Here's Kiswani's explanation:
Kiswani told NBC News in an email that her original comment was “satire” based on a “hyper local NYC conversation” about dog waste in the city after the recent snowstorm, adding she was “satirizing Islamophobic hysteria portraying Mamdani’s mayoralty as a societal takeover.”

NP. Fine is disgusting and his comment is vile but the backtracking here is ridiculous. This wasn’t “satire.” She meant it, and this backwards scrabble doesn’t work.
