The positive effect only lasted one day. Juice wasn’t worth the squeeze.

Wouldn’t have helped last time. Snow clearance was spotty. Rockville did a great job, Germantown didn’t.

Fwiw it looks like PG and Fairfax have both called delays, at least for now.

FYI that you can get the Washington Post for free through MCPL (MoCo Library system). That's what I do. It's found in their online resources section.

That's right for 3-4 days of weather differential - spend billions reorganizing.

Or you could ask the BOE to force McPS to include more than 1 snow day in the calendar, to force them to use their three designated makeup days that were set aside that McPS is refusing to use and to submit the virtual learning plan for weather emergencies that has been pending since 2024.

These actions might be a bit more realistic than splitting up the county.

Capital Weather Gang is predicting MCPS has an 80% chance of a closure tomorrow.

With the temps, warm ground, and rain, I just can’t see this amounting to much. Hoping for only a delay tomorrow.

We are on that rain/snow line but most models are showing 2-4in with potentially a bit more upcountry. That’s easily a day off in this area. I think the weather will hope them reopen on time on Tuesday, which they are going to be strongly motivated to do.

With these temperature upcounty, I'd be shocked if anything accumulates. It's 40 degree right now. It isn't supposed to drop below freezing until the precipitation is almost over.
