I’m pretty sure that is the case (that Chelsea did not know Maxwell all that well) but here’s the thing: she’s now an adult and we’ve heard directly from survivors about how Maxwell was involved in the raping (not just recruitment). Where is her apology to the survivors to have (unwittingly or not) normalized Maxwell? Part of the problem here is that is the connected/wealthy people involve refuse to own up to their roles and as judgement.
