Still love her, but yes - it sucks OP.
Obviously people can get cosmetic surgery to look better; but being fit just takes some minor discipline. Eating half decent and maybe 6-7 hours a week to be active/exercise.
It is not that hard.
Getting a 6 pack abs type in shape is next level, but to not have a belly or back fat is easy.
I’ve always been an exerciser. I have a normal BMI. I have a belly and back fat.
Sorry, BMI means nothing.
Belly and back fat are not attractive in swimsuits or tropical attire.
The question isn’t whether that’s attractive. The question is whether back and belly fat are easy to get rid of.
Where your body prefers to store fat is highly genetic.
I’m in good shape (cardio and strength training), eat healthfully, and have healthy body weight and body fat. I still store fat in those areas.
If you have a flabby stomach and back fat it is not attractive. At any age.
Being a female at 20-30% does mean if you are on the higher end of “healthy”, sure you will carry it differently than some women who win the genetic lottery and carry it in their boobs or something. But if you’re at 30% and need to get to 25 to lose that stubborn fat then short of surgery that is what you have to do.
So to be attractive you probably need to get closer to 20 than 30. Or be happy at 30, healthy and not look good for warm weather/swimsuit vacations.
Below 20 is like professional athlete for a female and if you are there you are looking at an 8 pack or 6 pack.

Stop turning a good thing (a Caribbean vacation!) into a problem.
Yeah, this.
+1
Weird and annoying.

We booked it about 6 months ago and also talked about how it would be motivation to get in shape and try to be healthiest for snorkeling and your basic tourist stuff.
We are a month out and ordering clothes and all that and spouse thinks they can get in shape in 4 weeks where I have been dieting and exercising for 6 months.
It is not the end of the world but I am kind of annoyed. I was not expecting fitness influencer body but at least not dad bod flab.
