When you talk about name recognition among the general public, you're really talking about sports. That doesn't mean that bigger, more famous schools offer the best education or the best job opportunities.
bro outside of niche circles, no one on planet earth has heard of pitzer college, scripps, claremont mckenna college or harvey mudd college ...

My child at CMC would say some of the Pomona kids are a little full of themselves (though one of her best friends is from Pomona). She also says those kids come begging when they want to actually have fun and come to a CMC party 🤪

Yeah I'm surprised a cluster of small LACs in the inland empire gets this much ink on this website too! I guess this board is just obsessed with California huh?
They seem nice enough, but far too expensive for what they provide. You get more famous and better paid faculty 20 minutes away at UC Riverside tbh.

Ha. Please, keep spreading that around so that it will be easier for my younger kids to get in!
Everyone, these schools are awful… don’t bother to visit… trust me on this… the schools are as bad as the weather… the dorms are ugly… Claremont Village sucks… tell all your friends…
+1
Horrible campus
Terrible vibe
Your kid definitely shouldn't apply...
Right, why would anyone?!
