It’s the thrill of the hunt, so i like to find things on sale and hunt for them and sometimes they’re even cheap, but they’re crazy and unusual and colorful and i don’t wear them nearly often enough to justify having so many. When I get stressed, I buy shoes. The search process is like meditation for me.

You are my people. I buy shoes when I’m stressed and sad. And it’s been a very bad few years, so … yeah. I love finding a good deal on something I’ve been searching for. Huge dopamine hit.

I’m also with the Lego botanicals person. I’m 53. I want allllllll of them.

We were drunk at our house once and used Uber Eats to get cookies delivered because everyone wanted cookies and we realized Uber Eats was cheaper than a DUI. Spent $50 to get cookies delivered to our house at 10pm! Worth it!

Uh I see them everywhere in the produce section? Usually buy them at Trader Joe’s. I also buy the recipes onion carrot and celery for pasta sauces or soups sometimes.

Anither splurge is Evian face spray which I keep in the frig. Helps with rosacea, hot flashes etc. I mean, it’s just misted water but feels so good.

Yes, mist water is the best. I also buy Avene. I use it on my face for rosacea and all of them are great for hot weather.

I prefer buying nice clothes for a bargain on eBay and poshmark and am low maintenance in general, but will splurge on travel and experiences. Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan, Olivia Rodrigo for me and my daughter, World Series for my husband and son, Hawai’i, Jackson Hole, Grand Canyon and Sedona, London, etc. We’re currently planning trips to Alaska and Japan and Copenhagen, for me these experiences with my family bring much more joy than more things.

This list is making me feel way better about myself because i have not so many things I splurge on, and a really high income. When i got my seven-figure bonus in december, we were at dinner that night and the special was truffle pasta and it was the special truffles that are only available for 3 weeks a year, so i got it -- $100 for a plate of fresh pasta.

Patagonia jackets for my young kids. They’re so stinking cute. I get them on sale at the end of the season though.

Fun thread. These are the splurges I think are worth it(and splurges are always a very personal definition).

My clothes are mostly from thrift, thred up or bananas republic on sale but I own a couple pairs of la canadienne boots and they are totally worth it. I also have several things I think are worth the money—a pair of Armani trousers and silk shirt, for example, but I dgaf about handbags.

I buy prechopped fresh onions, I hate chopping them!

Our dog gets fresh made food delivered; she is worth it.

We are finally going to see Hamilton on bway and I spent almost 1600$ on tix (for 4); and then bought Noah kahan tix for my kid but at 215/ea.

Speaking of kids, their sleep away summer camp is 5k/13 days. Each! Insanity but it’s a great camp that they love.

I recently saw a very cool chunky gold and peridot ring at a local estate sale/auction and was the high bidder at 575$. Then again I’ve also sold about 7k in old gold jewelry I don’t like this year.
