Don’t worry. NYT will post a “live” update at 3 pm. Here’s a preview:
“Last night, President Trump appeared to have posted a video that may or may not portray Barack and Michelle Obama as non-human primates. Some critics of the President called the video ‘racist’ and compared it to once common historical depictions of Black people that have since been deemed discriminatory. When asked for comment, Karoline Leavitt responded, ‘Our great President is not racist. You are. Go to hell and die.’”

MAGAs somehow deny this, so I will repeat this fact:
Trump is racist
I would build on this...ANYONE who doesn't openly repudiate this is also a racist.

Surely this provides some of them the excuse they need to distance themselves from Trump. They know he's in trouble, they know their party is in trouble, they know many of their seats are in jeopardy--will any of them try to course correct?
Girl. There is no turning point. This is who they are.

“We the People” have the power. Not “them.”
I’m responding to the point that Republicans are going to turn on trump. No they will not. His voters won’t either.
His older voters love him, but his support among the young, the future of the Republican party, has cratered. It won't affect Trump, who is a lame duck, but it will absolutely show up in the near future. You need only look at the insurgent gubernatorial campaigns in Ohio and Florida to see that the GOP establishment is losing control. Trump was just the canary in the coal mine. We're not ready for a right-wing party that actually fights back, unlike the modern GOP, which is fairly friendly overall.

I noticed this too. Nothing on CNN or WashPo. Maybe they’re vetting its authenticity or maybe, at least for WashPo, they don’t care. I guess the paper is truly dead.
It’s astonishing that a president would post this and even more astonishing that at every level of this video being produced and posted, the Trump team said “Obama’s as monkeys, perfect!” Not one voice of reason thinking this is a terrible, and very racist, idea!?!?! I would be fired from my job if I did something like this!
CNN and the washington post are no longer independent news organizations, so you are barking up the wrong tree there.
CNN, see Kaitlan Collins earlier this week, still asks hard questions. I’m done with WashPo.
On an unrelated matter, but kind of related, still trying to get my spouse to agree to cancel Amazon Prime. I always hated it and now hate it more than ever.
Your spouse will cancel Amazon Prime if you agree to be the one doing all the running around town and buying from twenty different websites to do what would take five minutes to buy on Amazon Prime. If you want her to do all the extra work, you'll have to suck it up about your moral purity. Or him.
We actually don’t buy a ton from Amazon. I will agree that Amazon is so easy and so convenient, but st this point I will either order from Wal-Mart (I know they are evil too) or take the “hardship” of driving to the store.
