The fact that the stalker in this board has a problem with the HOS doesn’t mean that the r whole school has a problem with HOS. In any case please keep posting. Each posting diminishes your credibility.

I'm happy my child is at Holton. Still I can't sit silently when witnessing the mediocre leadership.

Leadership is great but the parents are terrible.

And they aren't entitled to know that there are issues with the head?

No, it’s the whole school. Very problematic. A change in the HOS won’t fix the issues.

Holton has some of the best teachers (especially in English and History) in the DMV AND too many are leaving because of mismanagement and poor communication. Penny has only two years left on her contract. She’s out after that and the school will rebound. Well, two years if she doesn’t resign due to her pulling a student by the arm and verbally attacking her. We will see where that goes!

Two years left on a contract for a job that requires a two-year search. Parents and other concerned members of the community need to talk to the board. They will not start a search without pressure.

Some of us have been around long enough to see the difference with the previous HoS. Eight years ago on this day, Ms. Jones sent the following message to parents:

"To continue this important work dismantling gender stereotypes at home, I have a homework assignment for parents over the next ten days. Watch as much of the Olympics with your daughters as you can, particularly Olympic events with female athletes. The Olympics is the only major sporting event that gives equal, unbiased celebratory attention to amazing female athletes, and it serves as an antidote to the overwhelming bias in favor of male sports on our screens and in the media. Most of the heroes of the summer Olympics 2016 in Rio were phenomenal female athletes, and I have no reason to expect anything different this year.”

Wow! Thank you for sharing this. She was indeed a phenomenal leader.

It is unfair to expect to fill her shoes so soon, and yet, there is a baseline of professionalism and talent one expects from the head of Holton-Arms. We have been disappointed.

Again an attempt to deflect. NO ONE has made an anti Holton post. Repeatedly there have been posts around problematic, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior of the Head of School. Those have been posted be several different posters.
