People who have actually interviewed for these schools have said many times that it does not influence the decision. Think about it, if this were your workplace (the admissions office), would you outsource a crucial decision to a volunteer? Sure it could be useful to detect glaring problems and that is probably part of the aim. However, I think you should not worry about not having an interview imho

My kid only had a Stanford interview. No Yale

Northwestern stopped interviews with this year. Penn stopped as well. My kid got Stanford, Harvard and Princeton all in January.

No interview from Princton. Does that mean my daughter is out? She received yale last Friday. Feels like she is the last one to be interviewed. Very late, so no hopes

Interviews are just for experience, doesn't mean much. It gave hope to my DS, but I know he is not getting in any Ivy.

They aim to interview every single applicant in the area. The admissions office does not prescreen or ask them to interview specific ones.

Yale is a different because the admissions office does prescreen and prioritize people that they want more info on for interviews.

Dd interviewed with Princeton in January. Never heard from UPenn.

Do the Duke requests all go out at once or are they staggered. Nothing yet for my DD, but I do think her chances are very slim anyway. Luckily it isn't her first choice.
