if house hasn't voted by monday morning, you report to your duty station for orderly shutdown activities.

my agency has stated that with prior supervisor approval and an adhoc telework agreement that orderly shutdown activities can take place at our telework locations.

Got the same email at our agency, if you have minimal orderly shutdown activities + an ad hoc agreement, you can do them at home. So say you log on and do shutdown stuff from 8 am to 10 am. Trump signs the thing at 11 am - are you back at work at 11 am or is it always next day? Or would he not sign that early bc the House vote would be on Monday so it's not getting to him until the afternoon?

Politico is reporting that Mike Johnson expects a vote by 6:30 pm on Monday - so all day Monday will be off after shutdown procedures are done.

So Monday will be a shutdown, and Tuesday reopen?

best case scenario, yes. or they could bollox it up somehow

I got an email that my position is EXEMPT this time, rather than EXCEPTED during the last shutdown. Thanks for confirming I was misclassified last time and should have been paid on schedule the whole time.

Once there was a shutdown where we did shutdown activities Friday morning and by Friday afternoon they had voted, but we didn't go back to work same day.

I guess they could try to call the House back this weekend but with the storm coming, seems doubtful.

We both posted too fast, apparently they are calling the rules committee back on Sunday with a full House vote Monday.
