I think there are quite a few blue states that would prefer to be part of Canada right now. All the economically viable states in fact.
Which ones (hypothetically): Maine, California, NY, Washington?
Michigan, please

It was like a geopolitical version of a Mafia shakedown. “You can say yes and we will be very appreciative, or you can say no and we will remember.” That was Trump’s message to Denmark on the subject of ceding Greenland. It was like watching a scene from “The Sopranos.”
You give Trump way too much credit.
Tony was way smarter than Trump!

Trump destroyed a world order of 80 years,
That order destroyed itself, and it has nothing to do with Greenland, NATO, EU, or Trump.
The mass immigration combined with not having enough kids to sustain itself, means Europe will be fundamentally different in a few decades.
Bars will be forced to close, some already have.

A year ago, the US and Canada were close allies, peaceful, big trading partners, culturally close and so on. And now after one year of Republican rule, the relationship is in tatters. The air is filled with talk of war, boycotts, tariffs, and the need for new alliances.
It is shocking how much destruction Republicans have inflicted in such a short time. Everything has changed. The western world now sees the US as an enemy to be feared - like Russia. And there's no going back. The entire post-WW II security and trading system has been shattered. It's a very new world.
Canada would be better off as a territory at least Alberta would gladly come to the United States as Canada is a trash country right now

National health care, much less gun violence, cleaner air, generous parental leave-I think even some red states might be tempted.
