Like which mom car is hot right now?

The Odyssey was the hot car for moms when my kids were small. The moms who drove the Odyssey were not hotter than the other moms. They were just driving a very popular car.

This is why hyphens are important.

But then I drive neither a hot-mom car nor a hot mom-car. I do have a hot-mess-mom car, which is also a hot-mess car.

+1. Those car seats cool off the hot dudes.

Not when you’re hauling his babies!

If you're thinking of the newer style GX, they're probably around the same amount.

I'm guessing they said "hot mom's car" ie, the car is the popular and hot model, and preferred by moms.

Then, minivan with entertainment for long trips.

I don't really know cars. I think it sounded like she was trading a big luxury SUV into the same dealer for a slightly smaller luxury SUV. The way they were talking about driving a hot mom car, it was as if they all knew what sort of vehicle she meant. It wasn't a sports car. Are mid-sized SUVs hot mom cars?

White land rovers or that clunky Mercedes G class (typically). FYI Subaru driver here

Personally, I like the looks of a G-wagen, but it's hard to justify the cost when you get a similar effect with a Jeep, Bronco, or Land Rover.

Does it need a 3rd row to also project the image of being wealthy enough for 3-5 kids?

Have you been in a Macan?! Not practical for hauling kids around. I think you're thinking of the Cayenne.

This reminds me of the SNL skit, “Big Dumb Cup” 🤦‍♂️

BMW X5 is a perfect car.

No. This is what they buy their kids.

Both. The super rich Bethany Frankel woman from the first season real housewives drives one of those new vintage looking Broncos. She’s a 55 yo mother of one.

Tongue in cheek. Self depreciating. Or, as said many times on here, really meaning what is the popular car for mothers. Don't overthink it.

You must not know any wealthy late 30 to early 50 something moms. This sort of middle aged sorority girl lexicon and desperate desire to project a young, sexy and fun image is very common. They also try to dress and act like they’re 23. The women on the last season of White Lotus are an extreme but pretty accurate example.

I was with you until you mentioned the women from the last season of White Lotus. One of them fit this profile (the Leslie Bibb one). Of the other two, one wasn't a mom (yes, she was obsessed with projecting a young and sexy image, though TBF she was an actress and you kind of get how that feels like a job requirement for someone like that), and the other was a mom but didn't seem particularly focused on appearing young and sexy, more like she was just smarting from her divorce and getting passed over for partner.

The Leslie Bibb character was definitely very shallow and the sort of woman who would want to make sure she go the "hot mom car" and she would be specifically referring to what "hot moms" drive and not the popularity of the car. Though, ironically, she seemed like the most content of the three. I think because she was maybe the dumbest of the three and her needs were really simple and achievable for someone at her wealth level.
