I bought tretorns around 6 years ago, a little before Catherine did. They are crazy comfortable and i have always really liked that style of retro non-clunky shoe - when i was 10 in 1988 and today.
Despite pretty heavy use, they were still in good shape a few months ago when i finally decided to part with them. But i felt like I had worn them so much that it was time to bring something new into rotation -- and when i'm feeling that way, it's a good sign that the item is less trendy than when i got it.
With all that said, however, I literally never wore those shoes that someone didn't compliment them. Like, every single time.
The point of this story is that the PP can suck it.

LOL. The OP is probably over 40. She is going to a site where there are many moms in that range and soliciting opinions.
The real question is: why are you here? If you are so on trend, why post here, comment here, etc?
FWIW, Tretorns very popular with old money, a certain kind of country club set, etc as they have been for over a century. You clearly are unaware. If you were, then you would've made that observation. But you didn't because you are ignorant and chase brands to compensate for that.

I have multiple pairs and I wear them everyday.
Found the frumpster who doesn't care about style.
Perhaps you should just keep to yourself on threads where people ask about what is current if you are "not sure why" people don't want to wear clothing that appears dated. Rather than attempting to shame people for wanting to look even remotely stylish.

Huh? Tetorns were the *IT* shoe of girls in the 90s! Their popularity started in the 1970s, when Tretorn began sponsoring the Swedish tennis player Björn Borg,
