Yes had to drop off a night early because of early flight and then didn’t pick up until two mornings after we got home since they were closed for the holiday. More than one dog, luxury suite. Ridiculous imo.

Is this perfect pet resort? I was looking at that too and when I looked (months ago) they only had the luxury suites still available. Also if you have more than one dog, you can put them in together if you get a bigger room. My guess is Pp also got some extras for the dogs (which I would too). We ended up finding a neighbor and boarding our two for $1000 for 10 days.

No, but something similar. The suite isn’t luxury, but it has a couch and tv and a camera so I can see them. I have more than one, so it’s not that much more than if I had them in separate tiny rooms. They are bonded so I can’t do that. That also includes a few hundred for tip and baths because they get gross running around with 50 other dogs for a week.

A couch and a TV for dogs? I grew up in the midwest where animals are considered animals and were kept in the yard. Interesting.

Around 12k all in for a family of 4 in Costa Rica.

We went to NYC the week *after* New Year's (yes I know it's a harder week to travel) and spent about $1000 for 4 nights in a hotel in Manhattan and train tickets. Still waiting for the credit card charges to settle but I'm estimating around $600 for food, transportation, and activities on the trip.

We're generally very budget travelers so this was an expensive trip for us, we only spent $500 all-in for last year's summer vacation (camping FTW). But I think it was pretty good for four people in NY!

We went to Austria - 12 nights. Airfare was points, 1st hotel was 5K (all inclusive) for 6 nights, brought our own ski equipment, lift tickets 50 a day. Second hotel in Innsbruck was 1,500. Lift tickets about the same. Rental car (9 person van) was 1,300. Food another 600?

Germany, Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Ski rental, including gear (pants, jackets, helmets, goggles, ski boots, boots and lift tickets), less than $100 each. This was last Christmas, but it was one day of our Germany trip, trains full of skiiers heading out of the city to the mountains- skiing was not expensive, air to Europe and hotel was the $$$

For how many nights was the cruise?

4 nights for the cruise plus we flew down a day early for a night in a Disney-affiliated hotel (included in $5k total above).

U.S. ski trip for 4. $4k for flights, but used points to pay something less than that. $6k for accommodations. $5k for skiing. $1k for ground transportation.

I usually estimate around $20k for winter break. This year, we could only be gone the first week because of one kid’s sports schedule.

5 night cruise (Disney cruise line) for 4 in a Verandah room - $10,500
Flights to FTL - we did on points
Night in hotel before cruise (two rooms) - $700
Excursions/other incidentals on ship/tipping - ~$1500

So total around $14,000 for 6 nights. That’s just how much it costs to do a nice cruise over winter break.

We went to Banff/Lake Louise to ski for 8 days for 3 people

IKON Passes: 3000 (still good if we go to another ski resort for spring break so I don't know how to price these)
Lodging: 3000
Turo: 450
Airfare 2500 (DCA to Calgary)
Food and Souvenirs 2000 (inlcudes 1 day of lift tickets because IKON was only good for 7 days)

11K more or less depending on how you factor the IKON Passes. Lift tickets would have been around 130 per day per adult and 100 per day for child. So roughly 2500.

The Canadian Rockies are much cheaper than the US destinations (plus this year they were almost the only resorts that had snow) for lodging and food, plus the exchange rate lobs off 30%. Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise, Norquay (on IKON) Fernie, Kicking Horse, Revelstoke (F & KH are Epic and R is IKON) Ther are a few others I'm not thinking of. The last 3 are Interior BC, you still fly into Calgary.

I'm not counting Whistler. Whistler is owned by Vail (Epic pass) and is one of their crown jewels. The one day lift ticket there is the same price as the other Vail Resorts. The lodging is just as expensive as in the states.
