No. They don't have to fear the left. They have to obey the Constitution and do their dang job.
It is clear there is no constitution any more.
The major parties seem to prioritize their own interests and staying/regaining power before anything else.
But power over what??
They HAVE the power over the executive branch. The executive branch executes the legislation that the legislative branch passes and funds.
It's not about the power to legislate. They don't care about that. It's about the power to maintain the status quo from which they benefit—to traffic women, diddle children, take bribes and profit off of their office, selling government contracts to their buddies, etc. Our "government" is a farce.

Biden respected the rule of law and Congress wasn’t sitting on the sidelines shrugging its shoulders and SCOTUS was more concerned about the Constitution.
