I agree. The idea that the responsibility for safety and security of the school rests with the students who trust the adults and the system who are supposed to be running the school is absolutely absurd.

So I honestly don’t know about the other allegations, but as a staff member, I can say that there is an AP who is on long term leave with no expected return date due to his interactions with female students.


So, some of the admin are good, like the principal who takes the concerns seriously. They are far better than other schools.

can you expand on this? how does calling 911 impact MCPS negatively?


MCPS administrators often worry about institutional fallout, including:

1. Negative media attention and damage to the school’s reputation

2. Pressure from district leadership to keep incident numbers low

3. Being labeled as unable to “manage” their building

4. Possible job repercussions or poor evaluations


Clearly not calling 911 didn't prevent negative media attention

Wheaton has a PTSA and they have their own bank account so they don't need to deal with the business administrator. They cannot dissolve anything.

You haven't been to other schools as some of the AP's at other schools are far worse. I see police vehicle almost every day. There was a police car and park police there today.

There is usually a police officer or two (or a car) parked in front so they may not have needed to call as the police officer was right outside. Jawando doesn't want police in the schools.
