Football is selective here. Someone who just shows up in high school will be a bench warmer

Boys who couldn't make band have other issues.

Football definitely wouldn't be one of them unless there were male cheerleaders.

I read this all the time here. Others have their kids trying out many activities and/or “specializing” in a sport/art/whatever from a fairly young age. If you don’t start many activities from late elementary school or at least middle school it’s difficult to really get into them.


The “relaxed” parents are really screwing over their child long-term
