What a relief whew! escaped that one.

Whew, you finally nailed that big lawn mowing promotion you’ve had your eye on?

No but my elementary school went from being 120% overcrowded to 93% with portable classrooms.

LOL. I love how MAGA pulls figures from their @ss.

Heck, I’m even excited about the CAFE rollback and the possible return of cars we actually want for a more affordable price (if they can solve the tariff issue, that is.)

Not worth it, though. This is terrible.
Praying for a moderate for 2028.

LOL. How could they ever solve the "tariff issue"? It's a conundrum.

Men don’t use electricity or eat or need health care?

There is a reason why typical white males need so much DEI to help them compete, they kind of suck.

Just subjugate women, deport brown people, institutionalize racism, and tada, claim superiority. They are just sad
Little boys.

I’d like to thank you and all the other debilitatingly depressed and anxious females the proved my point with their 5 pages of posts.

DP. Tell me what is so great about being a callous, uncaring person? Should we all endeavor to just care less?

Exactly! The people who are unbothered are psychopaths and/or gluttons at this point.

Yes, because we are waiting for our green cards and there is a baseline level of stress due to indiscriminate detentions and deportations.

But I hope that this is purely a blip in American history, and I do want to get my green card and stay here.

I am confused as it is definitely the men who seem depressed and anxious. The women, we are all right, just mildly annoyed at insecure people like Kegsbreath aka Hegseth who is so insecure he wants to remove women's right to vote. Women are often perfectly happy without a man; men without a woman -not so much.

I don't think any of us are all right....some pretend and ignore what is happening but no one is truly all right or going to survive his term unscathed. Eyes wide open AMERICA!

Other than in your mind, how has Trump affected you? Honestly.

I hate trump, but he has no tangible impact on my life.

Clearly you are not a fed. Or a person with a brain or heart.

Even if you like him, everyone knows (or can see that) Trump is a life-long liar, bullshitter, and cheat (as in not paying carpenters/plumbers/electricians, etc. in his career as a bankrupt "developer".) His sons are comically horrible douchebags, and the people he's surrounded by are people who would associate themselves with a life-long liar, bullshitter, and cheat for whatever gains they think they can extract for themselves. There's a lot of ick happening in that Administration.

It's just a general malaise. Owning the libs (with all their be-nice-to-the-poor-people lecturing) is incredibly satisfying to a certain kind of voter, but then the buzz wears off.

Does it wear off? I feel like it’s the only thing that keeps them supporting Trump.

Do you live around here, or have friends or neighbors? It’s hard to believe you, if you do.
I guess if things are fine for you, great. But don’t you care about what others are going through?

I don’t know about you, but even though things somewhat ok for me (in spite of 3 hours daily commute since so-called RTO that has been pretty rough on my family) and I have a job and a lot of financial security, and I can afford to buy Christmas presents and send my kid to college, I feel less happy knowing I have neighbors who have lost their jobs, people losing their homes, had their livelihoods destroyed through no fault of their own, or who fear deportation even if they have literally done nothing wrong and followed the law to a T.

This area definitely has a different feel now. It is sad and subdued. If you aren’t noticing any changes, lucky you I guess.

If they were following the law, they woukd have came to the United States legally.

Anonymous wrote:My axiety is incredible. Watching my friends get laid off, not being able to sell their homes and our businesses struggling because of Trump has definitely had a negative effect on me and my husband. Husband is retire military and so to watch what is happening to our military is heartbreaking.

It really is tough for folks in the military. They have a highly emotional and profoundly incompetent SecDef to deal with. And a Commander in Chief who is clearly losing it in his old age and is enthralled with Russia and using the military domestically.

But politics are transitory. Presumably Democrats will take the House next November. So at least that's one guardrail. Mike Johnson may be the most pathetic man on Earth. Getting rid of him as Speaker will be very helpful.

In the meantime, it's not a great space for those in the military. Absolutely no one joined because they want to invade Venezuela for their dirty oil or arrest protestors in Minneapolis or DC or wherever. And Trump and Hegseth are throwing officers under the bus to protect themselves for their likely illegal orders.

The Republican Party has been a disaster on many levels. We've reached the point where lieutenants, captains and majors will be questioning the legality of orders. And that's not a good space for a country.
