False. It’s confirmed (ha, for now anyway) Wootton will remain region 4 even if it moves to crown.

Not true. They are voting separately on the regional model. Basically a done deal though.

And that is not a bad thing at all - why should Asian population be concentrated only in Wootton. Spread them around and improve the ratings of other schools.

If MCPS had any sense they would utilize this chance to rezone Dufief ES and Travilah ES to feed QO. Both schools are closer to Ridgeview and QO than to Frost and Wootton.

Earlier options A-D might assign some Churchill feeders into Wootton, which upsets many families. Those Churchill families are in county district 1, which Julie is bidding for a council seat. By pushing for the new options E-H, especially H, Julie's county district 1 won't be affected by the current school boundaries study.

Look, it may be true that Julie could gain some votes from H, and it is convenient. But I seriously doubt she did it solely for her campaign. Regardless what BOE decides, there will be happy and unhappy families. OP is among the unhappy ones if option H is adopted.
